Google are currently developing robotic bees to perform pollination. Initially in enclosed fruit farms etc. Potential for roll out publicly in the future. Will obviously be fitted with cameras etc.

I was going to say, it's old hat isn't it. Stacks of rural houses keeping bees now and selling honey. There's a street in Rowlands Gill with practically every house with signs up advertising home made honey, and it doesn't mean sex, I've tried.

I’ve noticed loads more bees this year.

Had loads of wildflowers in my garden this year instead of the usual bedding plants. Far more colourful, easier to manage and much better for bees and other insects.

My two colonies died over the harsh winter. Shame as it was probably a bumper summer for honey crops. Didn’t replace them this year but probably will next.
