David Bruce leaving SAFC

It must be part of the plan - moving to a CEO brings you up to the level of the top clubs.
No point having jobs muddled together

Tbh the business side goes hand in hand with the playing side nowadays especially in the premier League.
Getting the business side right is crucial to progressive year on year improvement on the pitch.
Hope whoever comes on is up to the job.
I’m sure you’re right but that side of things just doesn’t interest me. I mean i hope we have the best people in the world at what ever their role in the club is but ultimately for me my passion is the players and manager and to a lesser extent kld and ghisolfi.

Liked him a lot. I’m think him like Speakman have become victims of their own success. KLD I think (and this is just imo not itk) wants to kick us on one notch further and then look to sell up.

Being replaced with a CEO rather than a CBO. Restructuring the organisation, I guess. Anyone speak business-speak?

There does seem to be several structural changes as well as role creation and personnel changes under KLDs ownership which must lead to confusion amongst the organisation and supporter base.
The diffference between a Chief Business Officer and Chief Executive Officer just sounds like different job titles for the same role to me.
Similarly Sporting Director v Director of Football?

I was at a conference and a bloke specialises in building multiple huge businesses.

He said the team that takes you from 0 to 20m cannot take you to 100m and those who do cannot take you to 500m.

He says they all know it, they understand once they get to a certain point they will be replaced.

Alot of BIA Sports Group staff are working for both now
While that is good for costs can also be a bit iffy, I mean football is different from what they have in the group, not to mention it’s way more deep rooted in community. He did a very good job partly because he got it and was good at his job it went hand in hand. Seems an odd one on paper but seeing the job he did doubt the lad will be jobless long. Shows the club is ruthless as fuck and as a few pointed out they’ll get rid of anyone manager included if they think there’s better or they feel they ain’t doing well. It’s good and bad but you can’t argue with what they’ve done with the club so far.
