I was at a conference and a bloke specialises in building multiple huge businesses.

He said the team that takes you from 0 to 20m cannot take you to 100m and those who do cannot take you to 500m.

He says they all know it, they understand once they get to a certain point they will be replaced.

They don’t take prisoners at your level

Huge thank you to Bruce for all his efforts since he’s been here. I think all fans are 100% on this one, he’s been a huge success for the club. So thank you from us all.

He says they all know it, they understand once they get to a certain point they will be replaced.

That's not always the case but often is.

My reading of this is that we're gearing up for the next phase of investment in players, infrastructure etc. under KLD's new business group which involves stabilising us as a top 10 prem team. This is probably a next level of business acumen that Bruce may not have.

Really gutted about this, he's done some excellent stuff. Helped to restore a lot of pride in the football club, the kind of touches only a proper Sunderland fan could put on things.
