Danny Boyle quits Bond film

I think a good angle would be Bond at England away undercover. He's at the England match with a load of fat topless blokes when he spots his target - a corrupt diplomat. He confronts his nemesis who reveals a nuclear warhead is planted under the centre spot. Bond invades the pitch, digs it up with his spade gadget in his watch, defuses the bomb on 0:07 seconds, gets the ball dribbled it round the defence and scores a thunderbolt. Then he gets shot.

As long at it is a return to 70s and 80s Bond films. The first with Craig as Bond was awful; gritty and completely different.
If the cheesy Carry on format had stayed a few Dads turning up would have seen the end of Bond .
It had big screen competition ,MI, Bourne etc ,even Spooks on TV
It had to change
Craig has been brilliant .The Brosnan stuff is so lame watching now

Good

Chris Nolan would be a great shout

Nolan would be excellent imo but will be better suited to bringing in a new Bond. Would be good to see him given 3 films, but it's doubtful the producers will let him have as much creative control as he is used to. One thing a Nolan Bond would guarantee though is a financial smash

Hopefully it gets binned off before we have a female James Bond
I'm really not bothered about that. If a film is good enough it doesn't matter what the lead character is.

Female led espionage/spy films like Salt and Atomic Blonde, despite not being that good, hold their own against the majority of Bond films. The only bit missing is Bond getting his oats.

Nolan could do an origin Bond, like his first Batman. Bond Begins. Might be decent.

All the recent Bond films have been utter garbage and Daniel Craig has the personality of a half cooked chip.

I watched the casino royale one as people were saying it was brilliant - it made me want to scratch my eyes out so I switched it off like I did with the rest.

use to think they were utter shite.. but have enjoyed the daniel craig ones , different direction more intense fight scenes and bigger budget helps , think they took a leaf out of the Bourne films and it worked
he will be a hard act to follow IMO

I disagree.

It was precisely because those other franchises existed that we didn't need Bond to change their format. The Craig movies have been dull as dishwater vanilla action flicks. Boring compared with all the pre-Craig Bonds.

All IMO of course.

Sounds like Craig has brought a new audience and upset the old dwindling one
