I'm not sure what's difficult about a question asking why you want to sell a player who brought us up from the Championship.

Well unless you've spent the last 48 hours calling out everyone who has been saying the exact same thing but in a more direct way...

Saying he shined is a bit of stretch anarl though.

He was alright. He was a concern going into the big league. The club recognised that, and amply addressed that concern in the summer.

He's 4th or 5th choice CM and we play with 2. He had a contract offer on the table but chose to not sign it. The club have moved on by buying far better CMs, which leaves Neil with a choice of warming his arse on our bench for a year or leaving and playing, but with the knowledge that its highly unlikely premier league clubs will be stampeding to sign him either now or in the summer.

Hopefully he's had words with his agent who probably blew smoke up his arse and told him he's better than the contract that was offered.

Listen to yourself man, a legend because he helped get us out of the third division and promoted from the second tier?
Don't make me laugh. I think YOUR standards are subterranean. This is a historic old club that should be established in the top flight and not accepting anything less.

it’s best for all if he moves on he’s not guna get a game and frees up another space, do
people think he’s guna suddenly get a game after being frozen out and take the premiership by storm , time to let it go wish him well and move on

I know it was a bit of a gamble, but to be fair, it probably was the right advice at the time.

We were pretty much odds on to not to be getting promoted, and he would've had a big part to play if we didn't go up as Jobe was always leaving.

Leeds, Burnley and Sheffield United were strong last season - arguably one of the strongest Championships ever really.
