Captaincy now a problem. Last season an absolutely abysmal second half of the season, no problem with the captaincy

Make it make sense

Aye, people to get too attached to the captaincy and think they're leading soldiers in WWI.
 
Never rated him. He's a non entity for the most part, playing in what I think is the most important position on a footy pitch. For me he's the number 1 player we need to replace and get a proper deep midfielder who can pull the stringers, set the pace, read the game, intercept attacks and quickly put us on the counter with long balls.

He can't shoot, he's lightweight, he loses every 50/50, he has no pace. For his position he does not compare well to others in the league. His pass accuracy is not great, his dribble success is low, he gets dispossessed more than 95% of the other players in his position, and his tackles won is low for his role.

He's 1000% not a captain either and it baffles me as to why he was picked. Why was Luke removed who is a captain. He's too meek, he doesn't organise the lads or rile them up or calm them down when necessary.

I'll be happy if he's sold in the summer, I'd snap their hands of for anything over 6-7 million.

Read some of the earlier replies this season. People were comparing him to Messi, Rooney, gascgoine, zidane and any other world beater you can think of.

They just need to relax and see where he ends up.

Why is it a problem now we're miles better than last season? A season in which we basically gave up for half a season..the captaincy wasn't a problem then
