Agree. Though I think pace is vastly overrated in a centre half. If a centre half needs pace, it's cos he's got other problems.

Put it this way, if you've got owt about ya, you're 6'2, and have pace, you should be up the other end of the pitch.

Strong, quick and decent with the ball, reads the game well and always gives 100%

How long can we keep him?

I like him, he's very good for the level we're at but he's over rated by a lot of people. If his reading of the game was so good he wouldn't need to make as many last ditch tackles (which look impressive but wouldn't be necessary if his positioning was better).

It's like when everybody thought Cana was the greatest centre half they'd ever seen 'cos of that one performance against Liverpool where he just happened to throw himself at anything and everything and we got away with it. In reality, he'd have been destroyed most weeks. And in fact he was, the very next game.

I thought he was all over the place last night and not in a good way, needs to learn to not try and win every challenge.
