It has to be Lucio. On CM 03/04 he had a really reasonable minimum fee release clause and he'd go on to be one of the best defenders on the game for the next 10 seasons or so.

it was just over £10m.

klompe and hofland were quality and cheap. lewis buxton turned into a world class centre back as did wes morgan in one version. david luiz was my go to centre back until he signed for chelsea
