Crowd for sat

We've only ever sold out a single game at the SoL, in the cup and that was over 20 years ago. In an area like Sunderland the tickets need to be cheap.

Who says we are? We've a decent hard core but plenty with only a passing interest

The EFL dictate terms for the play offs, so the club couldn’t do anything anyway.

Cheap tickets, however, don’t work mate. Our previous regime became obsessed with filling the SOL and offered thousands of cheap seats. Sadly all it did was piss off SC holders and cheapen the match experience. Our revenue also suffered and despite 40,000 crowds we were generating very little.

Perhaps if the club had confirmed, after season ticket holders, that those attending this game would be next on the priority for Wembley tickets, this would have been a great incentive to get along.

Don't be daft fhs.
I didn't start the thread, just agree that those choosing not to go when they've been all season are fickle.
I could easily adopt the attitude that I'm pissed off with 5th and not go but that's not what support is about.
Fwiw, I don't think we will get past them (draw, satday, lose by 1 at FP) but it won't stop me shouting myself hoarse in support of Safc. And, I won't be booing if at end of game, we haven't won.
48000 "fans" for the Checkatrade and less than 21000 sold up til end of today.
Go on then, tell me that's not shite?

Shit happens man get over it

Can’t tell me when you drive about Sunderland and see houses and shops etc with flags hanging about it doesn’t make you smile

Bet half of these people aren’t going to Wembley

Need to get this them and us attitude out your head man, all back in the day attitude

I strongly recommend that you pile as much money as can muster on Pompey then as the bookies have us favourites to reach the final and joint favourites to be promoted. You clearly know something they don't and should therefore put your money where your mouth is.

I dont know anything, just what I feel after watching us play home and away all season, especially last 2 months. I believe bookies odds are based on betting patterns anyway rather than their knowledge and prediction ability. Not sure how we can be 'favourites' against 2 teams that finished higher than us

I know this.
However if you want a big crowd at the SoL then something has to give.

You're a shit fan in my opinion.

I understand that some people can't make it or can't afford it but if you're able to go and choosing not to cause you're annoyed at the ticket price or annoyed we didn't finish top two or whatever then you're a shit fan who isn't really supporting the team.

Who is the ‘bestest’ fan, one who went to Rochdale midweek, or someone who goes to a ‘big’ game at the end of the season ?

I'm sorry that you feel that way, I don't think I've been arrogant. I'm also a grown man.

Don't waste your time, explaining/apologising man.
You haven't had a go at those who genuinely can't afford it or who have made plans that can't be changed.
Your criticism of those CHOOSING not to go having gone all season just because they r cheesed off is 100pc valid.

So take advantage of your superior knowledge and make a killing then.

Nowhere near great
Happy to go to TS and tell the world on social media how great we are, but then sack off a vital game. Fkn pathetic.

Go to bed man, you are clueless.
Support or don't support. I'll take the support option with 22000 others.
You won't be getting another response from me so be a keyboard warrior if u want, I don't give a fuck.
I have been going week in week outfor 50 odd years, and have seen shite and more shite, and on odd occasion have seen some good stuff.I have been to a lot of away grounds and talked footy with of other fans. I think that I do have a clue.I would love it if we could have a full house on Saturday night, but I would never be so arrogant to call folk a disgrace cos they are not doing what I would like them to do.I am not going to bed either,so you wont like it, that makes me a disgrace then.

It's not about BESTEST fans man as u well know.
It's about so called supporters (who've gone all season) ditching the club they claim to love, in their hour of need.
Anyway, I'm done with repeating myself to those who don't get it or don't want to get it.
I'll be there supporting my team Saturday no excuses.

I just can't be arsed and will also swerve Wembley if that happens, think 20 odd season tickets qualifies me to have the choice to be honest. Sick of this season, renewed and ready for the next

I cant understand why people who could go wouldn't either. Its a bit like leaving the film 15 minutes before the end, not reading the last couple chapters of a book. I feel I need to see it out. However calling people a Shit Fan is a bit heavy and unnecessary IMHO.

Same here mate I've missed about 20 games over the past 40 seasons, renewed for this season as one of the 16,000 who did with Short and Bain running the show. Seen 6 straight defeats at Wembley including this year. Been to 4 c trade games this season including the mags at home, where the fuck were all these hyper-fans that night when the mags came through to take the piss. I'm not going on Saturday and won't go to the final if we make it. Renewed for next season so August is my next game unless there's a pre season away trip I fancy. Couldn't give a flying fuck what anyone else thinks.
