Crowd for sat

I have always been ther since 1967. If others choose not to go, for whatever reason, its up to them and no fkr else.

If you can't see it mate, it's pointless discussing.
Even if admission was free on Saturday some season ticket holders would not go. Perhaps the play off semi should be a one off game
20 quid man for biggest game of season

Is a shit fan so called because when the shit keeps hitting the fan it becomes the norm?

In which case Sunderland AFC is one huge shit fan and I claim my right to invoke the ‘takes one to know one’ defence.

I presume you know which incident I'm talking about. Even the SAFC twitter account took the piss out of the decision.

If the crowd will win us the game on sat we might as well rest all our best players until the final and just shout really loud instead.

Its about the vocality of support not just numbers- however when you are playing well you get both and good players feel 10ft tall- hence Pep and Mourinho etc asking for crowds to be louder as lifts players

Stephen Elliott tweeted that you just need to look at what Liverpool’s fans did for them last night

I’ve never seen a team and supporters fired up. As one. And they didn’t just get over the line they smashed the line into a million pieces leaving the best team in world football a smouldering ruin

Meanwhile we arrogantly proclaim we have huge numbers of supporters and we are the best fans in the world because we’ve been shit for a few years

We need to turn up and get behind this shit little team of midgets and has beens once and for all. As one. And if you can’t be arsed to be part of that then fuck off and support South Shields or someone and don’t come back.
Wudnt put it quite as aggressively as that but agree with you overall.
To go all season and then choose to miss this vital game is bonkers, inexcusable and fickle.
Only 20000 sold as at end of today ffs.
Best supporters in the land? Don't make me laugh.

I must have told everyone I’ve met since last Saturday to get themselves along to the game. All I’ve got was “no it’s on the telly”, or “they’re crap”. We know they’re crap but we saw what happened last night. Fans do make a difference.

Do we all need to go out and buy someone a ticket to come ffs. We should be filling the place

If we can fill it for a shit team like Bradford on Boxing Day then we can fill it for these little sailor arseholes on Saturday

Maybe worth waiting for the match instead of slagging off now

People like you who want looking at mind, quick to jump on people

What is the so called point then?

The point is, that having gone all season and then choose to miss this vital game when the club needs you(look at effect Liverpool fans had last night and ajax having tonight) just because you're cheesed off we didn't romp the league is beyond crap.
I don't give a, f.f. if you disagree, the FACT is, that it's a disgrace if we fail to have at least 30000 at the game.
48000 fkrs went to Wembley for a tin pot trophy ffs, where they all gone eh.

If we get 25,000 then it will one of the biggest income grossing games of the season.
But they really should have made the tickets ten or fifteen pounds to get a big crowd in.

And they didn’t just get over the line they smashed the line into a million pieces leaving the best team in world football a smouldering ruin. The worlds greatest ever footballer made to look an absolute mug by a lad from East Herrington.

Meanwhile we arrogantly proclaim we have huge numbers of supporters and we are the best fans in the world because we’ve been shit for a few years and some of us keep coming back. The reality is there’s fuck all better to do and it seems a lot of our fans are extremely fickle and bitter. Pessimism breeds pessimism.

We need to turn up and get behind this shit little team of midgets and has beens once and for all. As one. And if you can’t be arsed to be part of that then fuck off and support South Shields or someone and don’t come back. If we balls it up then we can say well the fans tried, we did our bit. We go again

But Mr Miserable Get supporter who couldn’t be bothered to turn up unless the bairns get free tickets from school will be sitting in his chair writing shite on this message board and attacking those of us who want to see this club do well and go places.

Aye but that's because the fans believe in the team. Klopp also inspires belief.

Sitting at 20,500 at the moment plus say 2,000 Pompey and another 1,000 corporate means its already at 23,500, shift another 2,500 each of the next two days like we did today and it will be 28,500 with the walk up to add on Saturday. The walk up will be significant and I think we will be looking at around 33,000 by kick off which is reasonable given the demands on peoples cash and the short notice and the fact the game is live on the telly.

I think if we get close to the average league gate that would be decent and the average league gate was just over 32,000 for the season.

Firstly, the EFL have rules on ticket prices. We couldn’t go lower.

Secondly, we don’t receive all the gate receipts. They are shared amongst the EFL

Final point from me , cheap tickets don’t work. Our fans need to get used to paying normal rates again. The previous ownership made a total mess of the ticketing policy

Don't be daft fhs.
I didn't start the thread, just agree that those choosing not to go when they've been all season are fickle.
I could easily adopt the attitude that I'm pissed off with 5th and not go but that's not what support is about.
Fwiw, I don't think we will get past them (draw, satday, lose by 1 at FP) but it won't stop me shouting myself hoarse in support of Safc. And, I won't be booing if at end of game, we haven't won.
48000 "fans" for the Checkatrade and less than 21000 sold up til end of today.
Go on then, tell me that's not shite?

A valid point. Compare the leadership and bottle of Henderson to the lily livered headless chickensmanship of Honeyman and were not going to beat Barcelona

But we can beat these twats. We’ve given them a go three times already this season and drew twice despite battering them in stages and failing to play our best player and going down to ten in the other

Christ I’d like to think I could whip these wet cornflakes up for a football match. We all could. Let’s show them.

I’m going on Saturday

But I can see why some wouldnt.... football support isn’t a chore. there is no obligation

Have a successful team and we will be one of the best supported teams in the land. We were fifth in league 1.....

People that only go when a team is 'successful' are exactly what we all slate other teams for? Plastic support.

We absolutely cannot claim to be the best fans in the land if people wont go to a playoff semi final because we've had a couple of bad results recently.

Its pathetic man

We've only ever sold out a single game at the SoL, in the cup and that was over 20 years ago. In an area like Sunderland the tickets need to be cheap.

Who says we are? We've a decent hard core but plenty with only a passing interest

We are presently tracking that we have lost 40% of the fans that were at Wembley?
That's terrible in all honesty if correct..cannot believe 40 per cent have a legitame reason for going to Wembley but not a bigger game in our home city rather than that there London?very odd

I really hope so, that would be a decent crowd.

I'm going and so is my boy. Normally o couldn't really care less about attendances and not that bothered this time, but looking at numbers so far it's poor and why some have decided to not go who normally would, just because we're shit and they can't be arsed, o find odd. Their choice, but thought we had great support? Maybe not as great as we thought, but still OK.
