You're a shit fan in my opinion.

I understand that some people can't make it or can't afford it but if you're able to go and choosing not to cause you're annoyed at the ticket price or annoyed we didn't finish top two or whatever then you're a shit fan who isn't really supporting the team.
I’m not going. Saving me money for wembo

Harsh, don’t you realise some of our fans are really “fed up” bless them?

I’m at graft and gutted I’m missing it.

However, unless it’s just me, a lot of supporters I know seem to be seeing the game as a chore and don’t seem confident, enthusiastic considering the importance of it.

I think the end of this season deflated a few supporters. And maybe the cost of another trip to Wembley.

I’d like to attend but I’ve arranged to spaf my load over your Ma while the match is on.

The standard of football is atrocious, but I go when I can, I was born there, it's my team and my mother would want me to go, like she did from age 12 in 1941.

Saturday is no exception.

I'm not going so I suppose having supported the lads since 57, travelled to away games countless times, endured numerous (too many to mention relegation's) far too few cup, leagues titles or watching class players play for the lads, then well yes, that makes me a shit supporter.

Its nothing to do with the way the team has played, price of tickets or trouble. its the fact that kick off is on a Saturday night at 7.45. Its the pandering to the TV media that fucks me off.
Would changing it to 7:30 help at all?

Due to family bereavement at 1,30 am , I won't be going on Saturday or to wembley if we go there , if that makes me a shit fan so be it , I couldn't give a fuck . My tickets will still be used for Pompey away and wembley if we get there , been to wembley 6 times , no wins yet , hopefully my non attendance results in a win

So that leaves 30,000 who wouldn't go to the more important away leg ...

... does that make them shit supporters in your opinion ?
No, but you must realise it's a lot different. A lot of people wouldn't be able to afford that journey, or get the time off work for such a journey on a Thursday. The game on Saturday is at a great time, close for most Sunderland supporters and is a massive game, can't understand someone who would go to a pub in the town centre rather than get themselves over to the SoL!

“Sunderland till I die....

unless we’ve lost a couple of games so I’ll go in a huff and not go to the most important home game of the season

unless I get an extra game included with my season card for free

unless the match isn’t on TV as I’d rather go to the pub.”

Wonder how many who were at Wembley or Trafalgar Square and telling anyone who would listen they were “Sunderland Till I Die” have been found wanting when we could do with proper support when it matters? With the exception of those who genuinely can’t afford it or, have commitments, there’s no excuse to not go. I don’t believe 10,000 people have suddenly remembered they’ve got work on Saturday nights/live miles away/wedding or birthday parties to go to etc.. and can’t make it. The vast majority have chosen not to go. Sunderland When I Can Be Arsed more like it.
