Criticising Luton long ball

Is absolutely pathetic. It's accepted by all, yes even Sunderland fans, that your players in comparison to Luton's, are small. Luton had tall forwards and midfielders. Do you REALLY think that should the roles be reversed, you wouldn't utilize the height differential to your benefit?

Luton were only using a very obvious advantage. You hardly created a chance all game and you didn't deserve to go through to the final. You were desperate and got what you deserved. The long ball argument some are trying to criticize is pathetic.
Who’s this excitable ****? You actually sound like you’re sobbing whilst typing..

Yes, but he done two of them. You do understand how red cards work, don't you?
I’ve acknowledged he may well have been sent off haven’t I? It doesn't detract from the fact the three worst challenges in the first leg were by Sunderland players, yet folk are still twining about Luton being dirty!

How many more fouls did luton commit than us?Havent got the stats, bit from what I seen it was loads. That makes them a dirty team

Thel long ball tactic definitely won the day against our ravaged centre backs and good luck to you.
However had our main centre backs been fit I believe the result would have been reversed. I think you'll mind it more difficult to defeat the two remaining teams in the playoffs using that tactic.

I think this Sallycinamon is a bit deluded. Any one with an ounce of footballing knowledge can see they are a dirty team.
I’ll say it again, the 3 worst fouls on Saturday, two of which could easily have been red cards, were by Sunderland players. Does this make us a dirty side?

He’s a mag, not Luton.

The pitch was about the size of a 7-a-side pitch. So not only were they not playing LONG balls (more chipping it to certain areas to win the first and sceond balls repeatedly), but there was absolutely no space on the pitch for us to play pass and move football in.
Dawned on me in the second half, there were alway about 7 players on or around the ball, it was like watching schoolboy football. It compresses the play so much it was unreal.

Not gripes at all though. Luton are entitled to set their home ground up as they wish, and to play however they want. Funny enough, they didn't foul half as much as the first leg either (aside from one or 2 nasty ones).

They committed 3 more than us last night. Terrible eh!
Yes, terrible. Are you ignoring the fact that they have committed more fouls in the league than anyone else and our home game to suit your contrarian agenda? You can see with your own eyes they are a dirty team. And stats back it up. If you cannot see this, I question your football knowledge

We committed 9 fouls. Definitely not a dirty team

There’s no point in engaging with him at all mate. He’s one of the crowd who seem to revel in a defeat so he can come on and blow smoke up the opposition’s arse. Luton’s captain even admitted they played dirty but some bloke on a message board still argues otherwise.

I think the criticism is that they use persistent fouling as a tactic. I am sure they even practise. They challenge every decision against them. No problem with the long ball but I find the constant tactical fouling to be very cynical and pretty much cheating. It was the same with Millwall, continual fouling and because its so frequent the ref loses the ability to stay on top of it. They were the better side but they should have had a player sent off on saturday and definitely last night.
