Striker
Chris Lewis - Tipped as the next Ian Botham. Was In and Out of the England Team for much of his career which did include some fine performances particually in the 1992 World cup. He retired at just 32 in 2000 before then coming back to play 20/20 for Surrey in 2008 which was very unsuccessful.

Now serving 13years for smuggling 3.37 kilograms of liquid cocaine.

Hansie Cronje - Probably one of the most respected guys in cricket, one of the best captains around and a very highly rated allrounder.

That was until 7 April 2000 when Cronje was exposed as a match fixer along with fellow players Herschelle Gibbs, Nicky Boje, and Pieter Strydom. Hansie admitted to the allegations and took responsability for asking other players to help fix matches for him. Cronje was banned from playing or coaching cricket for life.

On 1 June 2002 Hanise was killed in an air Crash many believe that his death was a result of exposing others of their involvment in the match fixing scandal.

post some others

Chris Lewis was shite

Attitude problem I think.

Atherton mentions it in his autobiography, gave an example of a game in the West Indies where Lewis bowled well within himself all day and then unleashed a fast, vicious bouncer raising the question of why he couldn't have shown that effort all day.

Adam Hollioake, Alex Tudor.
Both were going to be excellent England players.

Felt sorry when he got that 99 not out like.

No, didn't know that. What did Nasser dislike, his attitude?

Said something about having to 'accomodate players like Chris Schofield'. He reckoned he could see straight away that he wasn't good enough and 'wasn't a particularly nice lad either'.
He didn't really eloborate on it though unfortunately.

Paul Smith from Warwickshire, end up on coke. Now doing drug related rehab work in LA

His book is worth a read, he spent most of his county career off his tits it would seem.

Back on subject, Mohammad Azzharudin, beautiful wristy batsman who was tarnished by match fixing in the late 90's.
