Just off the top of my head as batsmen options:

Denly
Stone man
Curran higher up and root opening
The other Root
Bell-Drummond
Gubbins
Foakes
Northeast
Malan
Godleman

Take your pick. Or try some of the up and coming kids - need to blood them sometime. But no we’d rather just go around the same merry go round with pointless players like Vince (Same will happen in the Ashes, Jennings, Vince, Ballance will all be back in contention)

No chance most of them mate haway

I really hope you're right but just don't see this team, the way they are currently playing, beating India, and that could be that.

I think 1 win might be enough personally

Burns will be opening in the Ashes.

How many more goes would you give Vince to get a glorious 8 off 11 balls then? We’ve got to go somewhere, even if it’s just to someone to get us off to a flyer. Worst bit is the combination between him not going on and him slowing down our starts. Our power plays have gone from the best in the world to the slowest in the space of 3 weeks

Burns will be opening in the Ashes.

I’m sure he will. Leaves another opening spot, and a 3 and a 5

All hinges on tomorrow and then India v Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Even then I can't see us winning either of ours on current form. Keep going back to Friday. What a fuck up that was.

Aye we were all but through in reality

I’ll never forgive mo for that shot if we go out

Probably right mate, but I wouldn't be surprised if they risked him against India given Vince's form.

You’ve got to really at this stage. World Cup could be all but over by Sunday night if results go against us. Unless he’s incredibly bad, he’s got to be risked. Literally cannot do worse than Vince

New Zealand may be through and resting the Boults of the world. That said if they lose tomorrow they have Aus next and everything could get VERY interesting.

We live in hope and hopefully the body of work as a totality over the last 2 years rather than these one off games shines through.

Everyone always focuses on batting, but the bowling was vital at start
Ultimately made the difference. They learned from our mistakes and bowled fuller with arguably better conditions than we had.
