He is currently our best bowler when fit IMO, since his run up change, after thought is the right phrase.

Archer is flavour of the month, the pundits are jumping all over it. Whatever people think of Archer, he's proved little so far whereas Wood has performed for England at all levels despite his career being disrupted by injury.

Who has said he's medium pace? Not heard one pundit say that. His fitness is the main reason why most won't of had him in the squad.

No matter what the pundits say Archer is a class player who doesn't need to be compared directly to Wood every performance.

Wood has been very inconsistent through his England career because of his injuries and being played when he's not ready. Having Archer in the side will only improve Wood imo as he won't be needed for his pace every game and can be managed carefully and hopefully stay fit and bowling 90+ mph.

Wold cup record. You've got to take into account the pitch, which is probably as good there is in world cricket and how much cricket has evolved since the last world cup.

England are definitely favourites but having said that they do look canny good odds for Pakistan.
