India will muller us on Sunday unfortunately. Our only hope is Bangladesh beating Pakistan and I don't fancy their chances.
How on earth did they manage to lose to Sri Lanka?

Indians seem beatable with Shikar Dhawan out. Their batting is lacking something, which is a bizarre thing to say about that team.

I agree regarding their batting missing something .Theyre not scoring heavily at the minute.

Kholi has done an interview today about how they consult dhoni about what he thinks is a good score on the given pitch and they aim for that and back their bowlers instead kf going hell for leather and potentially getting less

Pant needs to play for me like. In place of either jadhav or shankar

Youd also expect kholi will go big sooner or later

Ive watched Dhoni a lot for India and Chennai. I'm absolutely certain he purposely scores at a slow rate to make the game interesting and to give his team a challenge.

I have my own thoughts on him but think I got a warning for it before, probably quite rightly too, so not gonna say out

Interesting... Can you PM me too please. No strong opinions either way personally

'People were waiting for us to fail' - Jonny Bairstow lashes out at England critics

Well well look who's taken the criticism badly

There's a reason the English psyche is as it is when it comes to world cups. We're used to being shit in them. It's up to you lot to prove us wrong and do it differently this time. Otherwise we have a a right to criticise

India got the exact venues they wanted and got to start 2 weeks after everyone else, its a complete joke

What late start?
The only thing I've heard any Indian say is that they weren't happy at the schedule because a) other teams got a head start and b) their recovery between matches was shorter. Was it two weeks?

Why would they complain about a head start? they managed to rig it so they got more time off before start of tournament and got all their venues

Bairstow kind of has a point I think, not sure I'd come out and say it mind

Its unnecessary comment and I think in general he is wrong about most media but he is right about Vaughan and KP like

KP still bitter about Morgan rejecting calls to call him back other year, been waiting for a chance to nail him, like he does with everyone.

And Vaughan changes his tune every day, the biggest gobshite in English cricket. Vaughan was also the worst ODI captain there has been in my lifetime, so it must be galling for the current team to get so much criticism from him when he was so bad himsef

I do know what he means, as we have seen on this thread it feels like a couple of people, who I ain't gonna name, have been waiting in the wings for us to lose. There were literally people saying they had bottled it after 20 overs of the Pakistan game man

Saw it with Southgate too did really well in world cup, did really well to get to semis of this leage of nation thing, he loses one game and its "this is the real England" we are shite etc.

Maybe a siege mentality isn't the worst thing at the minute either.

He's completely wrong. No English cricket fan "wants England to fail". Seen it said on here as well.

Think it's the opposite. We've been down this road too many times in cricket and football and we're sick of it. As I said further up it's up to them to do something different this time otherwise we have a right to moan

Think he was on about the media to be fair, some do thrive off it.
