Cricket at the Commonwealth Games

Not really bothered about the "commonwealth" (a term that should be consigned to history) games but the Indians on twatter are using it as another stick to beat England with. They keep bringing Rat Boy up for some reason

Ping pong fans presumably say the same. Crickets already massive and games like this are the only chance sports like table tennis, squash etc are shown on tv

I’m not saying it was wrong from the BBC. Just that the mouthpieces for the womens game we’re saying that the CG would be great for exposure… it wasn’t cos it was hidden away in places that only hardcore fans would search out.

Fair point. The commentary was terrible last night mind. Apparently the last wicket was “worth India taking a look at”. They f***ing had to man it was the last wicket and they had a spare review ffs

One of the Aussie players, McGrath, was allowed to play despite testing positive for covid. She took a catch and her teammates kept their distance rather than celebrating with her.
