This scoring system makes no sense.

Smith is my captain yet only got 40 points, despite scoring 45 runs.

It is hard to work out. But I think you get points deducted for a low run rate

Edit.. yeah you do. And -10 for getting out

thats it niknak

scoring rate and bowling rates are taken into account. not sure even if they take into account how is bowling as well

you need a degree in maths or be able to understand duckworth lewis to understand it

In a desperate attempt to get in the running I've just made a shed load of changes so I've got 9 players playing tomorrow.

Did a great job of throwing my early lead away already. Shiv and Amla were not the best of choices.

2 Aussies and 2 Kiwis tomorrow. Surely will do better!

Argh! Didn't see the Aussies were playing tomorrow and got rid of Watson for a Jayawardene who doesn't play til Saturday, flip.

I had AB in my original team.

Bringing back Ponting tomorrow, and may bring in Haddin.

Then the tough choice; who to make captain:

Watson - All rounder, did well first game.
Ponting - Rarely fails twice.
Al Hasan - All rounder, usually does well.
Tamim - Always looks like he could score runs if keeps his concentration.

Or a surprise one - Southee, who always takes wickets.

Stuck Boyd Rankin in hoping he could surprise Bangladesh. So far he's bowled 2 overs for 22. :-(

Although sticking Tamim as captain seems a decent choice so far.

Went for Watson again as captain.

He started well, taking a wicket despite only bowling 3 overs, but by Christ he bats slow.

Could have gone for Tamim who is slaying the Irish, or Haddin who is doing the same to the Kiwis (and took 4 catches) but no, I went for todays Mr. Slow. He might get the runs, but I'll be penalised for slow run-rate.

So he goes and gets me 24 points with a 6.

Watson - okay
Haddin - okay
Ponting - failed
Al-Hasan - failed
Tamim - okay
Southee - meh

Just R. Hossain left to bowl the Paddys out when he gets a chance.

:-|

Are you lot actually trying??? 8-) It's getting lonely at the top. ;-)

I'm pleased with the contributions today from Haddin, Watson, Lee and Tamim. Might have guessed that Krejza would spoil the party though.
