Had Bopara and Trott in my team today who both did reasonably well but made Bresnan my captain. A good start with the bat but threw it away with the ball. Still in third with 8 transfers left but a long way behind the leader.

Just a case of me using my captains wisely now; although today wasn't a good start. Morgan managed to get me -6!

Got Dockrell in as captain tomorrow, hopefully he'll pick up a few cheap wickets against the Dutch.

Just popped his shoulder out....ouch

Porterfield (c) and Angelo Matthews today.

2 catches and a decent knock so far from Porterfield. If he can keep his strike rate above 75.00 so I don't lose some points that'll be good!

Since I went down to 0 transfers everything has conspired against me.

Morgan only got 7 yesterday, Dockrell dislocated his shouder and Dilshan has had a mare today as well. I doubt I'll be top come the end of the group stages.

brought stirling into my team today, to go with southee (and ryder). Should inch me closer towards the top 2.

Got Joyce and Brendan McCullam (c) today. Was going to put in Ten Doeschate in but would have had to take out an Watson then put him back in tomorrow.

Dilshan (c) and McCullum for me today. Might as well stop playing. Starting swearing at my monitor at work the past few days... got been going down too well in the office

Doeschate as El Capitan today, shame he didn't get MOM though

Lots of big guns out tomorrow, hoping for a late surge into the European spots

Made all my changes now, should have all 11 players playing over the next two days. Hopefully get back into the top 5 before the knock out stuff starts after slipping away in the last week or so.

My lead is disappearing fast. Everyone below seems to have loads of transfers left.

That's what I get for being greedy earlier on in the tournament I guess.

Having Morgan and Dilshan as your last two captains probably hasnt helped like

Its all about pacing yourself. I went off like a train on here a while ago with one of the leagues but got cauight up eventually by the winner.

Harry and I currently stand 62778 but TBH there are probably about 500k players so.....

I thought I was being really clever by saving my transfers and still keeping in touch with the leaders but in the last few days my luck has deserted me and most of my picks have performed poorly while the ones I considered selecting but chose not to have done well.

Today I chose Cooper instead of ten Doeschate - mistake
I chose Tharanga instead of Jayawardene - mistake
And I chose Malinga ahead of Murali - mistake.

I'm determined to choose wisely for tomorrow in an effort to close the gap at the top.

Probably more like 175k since bottom of our league of 22 is 150k.

I was saving up mine too ... and hit lucky with the likes of Gayle, Southee and then especially Stirling as captain today.

Now have 6 Saffers playing tomorrow and 3 Aussies. Then still another half dozen transfers remaining ... trying to decide when to throw them in and avoid loading up on a game that ends up with bad weather.

Now second and hopeful of creeping up a bit closer before the quarters.

Why didn't you join our league MBH? You would be in 17th position (out of 22) based on your current standing but there's still time to improve on that.

I too will have 9 players playing tomorrow but don't know yet whether to go for Tahir or Peterson for the Saffers. According to Cricinfo they haven't decided which to pick yet. May have to stay up till 3.30am to see who gets the nod and then get them in my team.

I'm taking this far too seriously, aren't I? ;)

To answer the last bit first. Yes.

When do you need transfers in by? Teams announced, the toss, start of the match?

I still have Peterson in my side, but focused on SA batting with Amla, Smith, Kallis and Duminy ... to go with Peterson and Morkel. then Aussie bowling of Johnson and Lee supported by Haddin.

As far as I am aware you can make transfers right up to kick off, which in this case is 3.30am GMT.

I have much the same players as you (Amla, Duminy, Morkel, Haddin, Johnson) so I doubt I'll make much ground up on you, if any. According to the preview there is a good chance of showers in the Aus v Pak game so I have resisted bringing back Afridi. For the same reason I chose Kayes (Ban) ahead of Umar Akmal (Pak) so watch him be out first ball.

I will have 2 transfers left after this game so will hopefully be able to chose 2 Indians for the final game against the Windies. I'll try to resist using them on the Kenya / Zimbabwe game ;)

Just realised that. Pleased I stayed up now so haven't wasted a pick with Morkel.
