Creatine

Creatine is found naturally in certain animal based food. As long as he takes a normal dose and stays hydrated, then good on him. When I was 15, I was grinding up cowies and sniffing them, be thankful he’s wanting to be healthy 😂
sounds better than the gym to be fair

When I was younger, I was a top quality county level runner but was work shy when it came to the gym. I did some research and found out that it boosted energy and muscle mass if taken in smaller, controlled doses as I was 6ft tall and 9st wet through. It really did help at the time and there were no real noticeable side effects either as its something the body naturally creates.

All I will say is that I would encourage yous both to do research before using it and ask yourself the question if you can trust your lad to use it in moderation and not become reliant on it. Also tell him that he won't see big gains from using it straight away.

Creatine is fine. It's one of the most researched supplements there is.

Recent years studies have shown it to have really positive cognitive effects when taken at higher than stated 5mg dose

One of the very few legal supplements that actually has benefits and virtually no downsides unless it doesn't agree with you.

Also he doesn't need your permission, it's not an age restricted product.

It’s completely safe to use as long as he’s not having too much. The recommended doses err on the side of caution.

As well as gym performance it’s known to have other benefits like improved focus and concentration.

Your decision anyway, you’re his dad. It’s not dangerous but he doesn’t ’need it’. He’ll see good results at his age without it and can make his own choice as an adult.
