Craig Gordon

The save he made against, I think Zak Knight is still the best save I have seen in the flesh and i don't think it will be topped in a long time (for me anyway)
Always remember Ward making an even better save v Southampton, player called Pele I seem to recall. It was incredible. Can’t find any highlights of it mind but I was gobsmacked at the time, more than I was of Gordon’s.

Kinda don’t want to see highlights of Ward’s again for fear of over romanticising it as a nipper.

He's doing areet for 43. Especially after 'retiring' for us meaning the club never got any of the £9m back.
Never understood the love for him on here

I remember it and you’ve definitely made it sound better than it was (although it was top class).

Pattos v moore in the play offs was similar
Slightly better I would say. More power in the header. Great save still.

He was fucked. He never played for the thick end of 2 years, hardly his fault.

We always like a good goalkeeper mate.

My love affair started with Tony Norman, went on to Tommy Sorensen, Craig Gordon and now Roef.

There's a few notable ones in between as well. Lionel Perez, Poom and Alex Chamberlain.

My favourite goalkeeper of all time.

Hands off mate. He's mine. FLASH AHAHAAA saviour of the universe 💪

Nee Simon? Fans fav or Pickford? Shan you like

My Daughter loved him when she was 7, had the full keeper kit and gloves the lot. Got her top signed by him (he was a total gentleman too) and has still got it. She always had to be the keeper when we used to go out and kick a ball around, she now plays field hocker and she’s a very good keeper. To those day if she buys a top it is always the keepers top, all down to Mr Gordon inspiring her.

I know I’m in a minority but was never a fan of Gordon. Made some fantastic saves but was also prone to clangers imo. When you compare in example to Roefs, Sorensen and Mignolet they all (and in the case of Roefs it’s a matter of time) played for at the time big national teams, great clubs etc . Whereas Gordon spent his entire career barring his spell here in Scotland.

Like I said I know I’m in a minority but I just never really rated him and the fact he at separate times was dropped for both Ward and Fulop says a lot.
Clearly a good keeper but didn't like playing teams like Stoke back in the day, didn't like competing against big. physical sides who loaded the box and sent in cross after cross after cross.

Not our very best - Roefs better in my view, Tommy S obviously, Chris Turner (though a bit small really) was very good; I always liked Barry Siddall as well...and obviously Monty!

Same for me with Norman especially during the 92 cup run.
Throw in Myhre, Darren Ward and even Shay Given for good memories of promotions.
All I remember of Gordon though was him letting 7 in not long after he signed and getting dropped after costing us a game against the mags. Struggle to remember any important games he won us and less than 100 games in 5 years shows he was mostly injured or out of favour.
Great career but totally overrated during his time here in my opinion
