I don’t know if it’s been referenced yet, but this is currently in Asda.
And Sainsbury's. Got one yesterday to try.
& Morrisons! Just been in & got 4 new stouts I haven’t tried before. This, the Northern Monk one, a Wiper & True & sumat else I can’t remember. It was a chocolate pistachio carry on though.

Oh aye, there was some new stouts in packs of four in the World Food isle in Tesco yesterday too.

I will once again point out im sick of drinking & not sure when ill next have a drink in the house & I’ve managed to get a 12 can Vaux sub box, 8 cans & 4 bottle from supermarkets

They’ll be Christmas drinks the way it’s gannin. Or a few breakfast slurps before the Mags match

Daft man.

All the supermarkets seem to refresh their range at the same time. Wish they'd stagger it, one every month would be ideal.

off to Chelsea on saturday, but making a weekend of it so going to London friday. Probably going to have a mooch along to Kernel on the beer mile, and make my way back.

probs around Earls court on the saturday, cos it looks like the transport links are all fucked. owt decent to look out for around there?

Hansom Cab used to be decent but a few years since I've been in.

Just back from a trip to Brussels. Had a mort Subite Gueuze at Mort Subite. It’s one of my favourite cafes in Brussels and brews its own beers but they didn’t have any peche which is my favourite. Also took in the Brussels Beer Project which is in a very cool building in Dansaert with an interesting take on various styles of beer more popular in this country. The stout was very good but i wasn’t over impressed with the double ipa. A good idea but the beer wasn’t to my taste.

The next day we went to Cafe delirium which was different. The beer was lovely but the surroundings were a bit loud for me. I had a lovely St bernardus triple.

However the highlight of the trip was Cantillon. I have to thank James on here for the recommendation but if you get the chance to go it is worth the visit. We didn’t do the tour but I kind of wish I had. I had the gueze and the missus had the sang bleu. Both were exceptional and I moved on to a LHD. It was quite the strangest beer I have ever had. Flat as a pancake with a barley wine like taste but with more complexity than a barley wine. I don’t know if I’d have another but I enjoyed what I had. Got a bottle of grand cru and sang bleu to take home.

Three days drinking took its toll but it is such good beer it was worth the effort😂

Glad you enjoyed mate! We're just about to book up for next May actually to do the Toer de Gueuze. Not sure how that'll go with a toddler with us but we'll see.

Brussels is elite for beer.

The Bolton (with the Dutch bar upstairs) was the only shining light for beer around Earls Court but sadly Covid did a number on it. They've opened up their own Dutch taproom on the beer mile now though so that's something, you should pop in.

For something different you could go down to Clapton instead. Clapton Craft, St John's Tavern then walk/bus (25/10 mins) to Sambrooks brewery, bus up to Stamford Bridge from there (30 mins).
Edit: Typo, meant Clapham not Clapton, though it is Clapton Craft!

Having a couple watching the match so knocking a few off out of the Vaux sub box I haven’t had before. Pilsner & Sour that are not normally my bag, but always worth a bash.

The Vaux x Black Lodge Pressure Point is lovely like. A blood orange kolsch. Didn’t think it would be my thing but it’s class.
