Holy shit. FCBC’s first imperial stout. Honestly blown away. If you liked their Snake Island, get some of this. It’s f***ing spectacular.

I was in FCBCs bottle shop / wholesalers during the week, and a couple came in picking some stuff saying they were there picking up for Blues. Canny lads. Determined to get there at some point this week.

I was tempted to leave it till it’s a pub again, but I like to support local businesses - so I’ll get through at some point
Getting stuck into another FCBC imperial stout again tonight. It’s lush. Get it if you can.
just found out that they’re filling a whiskey and rum barrel with it, and going to age it and release it next year. Will be class.
oh and s43 are doing the same with their beast imperial stout - dumping some into a barrel to age and mature, think it’s a whiskey cask but not sure.

Been in a few times but not for a long time, and always had the car. Too far out of the way. My drinking is largely limited to Sunderland and Newcastle.
How's the tripel? I had a bottle of Orval last night that was 18 month old, it was probably the best beer I've had this year, outstanding.
