Coventry

Well they’ve had a terrific start, but it takes some doing to maintain that. Part of me wants them and boot to go up, part of me want them to have an upside down season to what they usually do and implode in the final 1/3rd of the season

If they go up, as seems likely, I hope they have some coin.
Every season we see 1 team romp away, but when they get to the ‘ top table’ they are found wanting.
Who would have thought Farkes head would be on the chopping block before Dec, at the end of April gone?
He has done a canny job, but he inherited a canny side that had gone a bit stale. No 2 ways, he was very very ordinary ( to say least ) at Chelsea and Everton. Bit early for anyone to be touting him the love child of Klopp and Ancelotti

Do you rate him or as someone else suggested he's got lucky with a good team and hung onto the best players.

Genuinely rate him.

If you look at the statistics and tactical analysis, he's basically developed a team capable of playing in multiple different ways.

Boro on Tuesday was a good example. We were playing very deep for 70 minutes and then minutes later we're playing like Liverpool 2019 where we attacked like maniacs and completely overloaded Boro.

Teams have no idea how to play against us and the credit has to go to Lampard and his coaches.

I think he'd be an excellent manager for England. He absolutely loves the country too.

As a Boro fan I agree with this.
About the match the other night, and about Lampard.

If they come up, which seems likely, they won't know what to do with themselves as they reconvene their one sided rivalry with us, whilst (rightly) being despised by a club 200 miles away.

I feel for them in a way (I really don't) that they are so insignificant that they have to follow motorway maps (Leicester) to find someone to force a derby with.

The fact we sent them down in 2002 still grates with them. Seems we are quite good at sending SAFC rivals down. :)

Yeah most games come down to fine margins and fans react too far one way or another based on the result. If Haji Wright had buried that header right at the end of the 90 like he should have done it would have went from fans saying it was a Le Bris masterclass to an awful strategy in the second leg that cost us the game.
Fair post. 👍
