Coventry

I don't think it was a RLB masterclass at all. We got outplayed in both legs and were lucky your keeper didn't play well and you missed lots of half chances. Luckily we had something you didn't have though - man mountain Dan Ballard, head and shoulders the best player in both legs.

Behave, we had more of the best chances in both games. We let them fanny about in front of us going nowhere. Another who thinks you have to have the ball while going nowhere to be playing well

They had better xg in both games. It's ok to admit it, we still won.

Lampard became a bit of a joke figure before this Coventry job and I could never understand why
Agreed, think he's done well as a manager so far. Hasn't really been that shit anywhere yet and is doing an outstanding job at Coventry, clearly gains players' respect.

3 times in the 1st leg we went through 1 on 1 with their keeper, their only real chance was their goal. 2nd leg they absolutely bossed the 2nd half, but it was tight otherwise.

The league is dreadful this year. Comosre the promotion challengers with what we had to contend with last season.
To be fair, everyone said it was going to be a tough league before the season started, with 3 relegated clubs, Shef Utd and Cov plus it was expected that Wrexham and Birmingham would spend big and challenge too.

The fact they’ll feel hard done by losing to us & then seeing our start to the season is no doubt giving them every encouragement to go for it. Frank will point to our spending as the necessary blue print as well.

Long way to go.

People keep wanting to call time on a season earlier and earlier. (Liverpool after five games for example).

Chelsea beat Arsenal this coming weekend and it'll be them for the title..for a week or two.

At least wait until new year.

But they've been worse than people expected. Last season we ha two teams with 100+ points and a third with about 97.

Beat boro 2-4 and now 10 points clear at the top of the championship.

We know how tough that league can be but they look miles better than anyone so far. 12 wins and 4 draws from 17.
Sadly, they are miles better despite not really improving their squad from last season🤷. They had an ok squad last season ofc, but the standard of the other teams isn't great TBF. I mean Boro second with their squad😮.
Looks like they've made the pain of Ballard's goal work for them in the way we made Micky Gray's penalty miss Vs Charlton work for us.
I'd like to think they'll have a massive wobble and get caught, but there's probably no one strong enough to do so apart from maybe Ipswich .

Wow , that’s about as inaccurate an Analysis as I,ve ever read. RLB tactically out thought Frank. He let them have the ball . Sat in a low block and played on the break. In both legs , we had more shots on target than them. If you want to class every shot that never even reached our 6yd box as “ loads of half chances” , then carry on. RLB has done it since , to better teams than Coventry and it’s produced results.its a proven game plan.
