Coventry, Ipswich and Hull

They need whole new 11s, especially Hull. He'd be absolutely fine for a one year contract.

He's not finished - he still looks a good player to me. Excellent movement. scored 7 last season in a terrible side. Very unreliable but premiership quality imo.
 
We just have to wait and see what business the three promoted teams do. No way should they be written off coz they might pull off some amazing deals. The home crowds will be up for the fight so we shouldn't take them lightly. Still annoyed by Burnley!
 
What people seem to miss is that if our involvement in Europe does appear to be putting our Premier League status in jeopardy then it is open to the Club to recognise that and concentrate our efforts on the League. It's like any cup competition no one will be forcing us pour our full resources in to a European competition if in doing so we are putting our place in the Premier League at risk.

We just might decide have a bit of fun in Europe for as long as we are up to it but get back to concentrating on our main business in the league if things are turning out to be too much of strain. It's no secret that our main objective for the next few seasons is to establish the Club in the top half of the Premier league. After all it will be a very long time indeed before we get another opportunity to play in Europe again if we allow our team to be relegated.

Really exciting season ahead but I'm the same as you. If we are in and around the relegation zone after 10-15 games then balls to Europe and get some League points. L Bris has started fast in his two seasons. Hope he repeats it.

Goalkeepers don't cost as much as other positions. Dropping 20m on a keeper is like putting 60m down for an outfield player. It probably puts him top 15 most expensive keepers ever signed in the English football history. Donnarumma was about 25m (although probably on higher wages).

It's a lot for someone who hasnt played at a high level. You'll need to find some more cash to improve the rest of your team. I know Coventry fans think your current team is good but it will get biffed.

It is a lot, but ultimately £15m + add ons for a player highly rated by plenty is not outrageous.

We do think our team is good but we also know we'll struggle. A few people on twitter claiming we'll do well is not the view of the majority.
