Coventry, Ipswich and Hull

Birmingham are a reasonable sized club but aren't on the same planet as Villa.

Villa are a big club but should be one of the biggest clubs in the UK. I think with the stadium extension and recent success in Europe, now could be the time that they kick on.

Water under the bridge now my friend. Happy that both of our clubs have enjoyed a great 12 months since. I’m looking forward to us competing in the top division again, we all know it is likely to be a difficult season but if we can’t be optimistic now then when can we?
Would love to know which players we are likely to sign but I suppose only the Hull City owner is privy to that info 🤣

If its the same one I was looking at this was a gem.

A reaction to that regis interview where he says we need 3 or 4. Need to look at what your own club needs mate, and we can tell you with first hand experience,you will need a lot more players than you think you do.

Mason Mount is NOT a realistic signing for Coventry or us for that matter due to his £100K+ a week wages.

We did have a freak season due to our very successful transfer business. The thing some people don't seem to realise is we will still have the vast majority of those very good players next season too.

It's absolutely bizzare to think the likes of Roefs, Mukiele, Alderete, Xhaka, Sadiki, Le Fee etc are going to suddenly going to turn into poor players over the summer 😂

A move like Mount to Man Yoo and the likes of Drink water in the past, when they clearly weren't at the required standard, kills their career dead, but rewards them handsomely. They're basically unemployable unless they take a significant pay cut.

2 very different players for me. Drinkwater had one very good season at a smallish club. Gained a couple of England caps. He moved to Chelsea and couldn't hack it at that level.

Mount was excellent player at a high level at Chelsea. He has over 30 England caps but he lost his way badly. He's occasionally shown decent form this last season but not sure he'll ever get back to where he was a few years ago.

Hadji Wright won't get 5 league goals man.
You can say what you like about Lampard being a supposed 'big draw' for potential signings, but they will struggle to attract enough players to keep them up.
They currently haven't got one player who is definitely good enough to make the step up, not even Rudoni.
Would be amazed if they managed to stay out of bottom three for any length of time.

Correct, but to me there is only one Cup, ie the FA Cup and several other cups. Any number of clubs have won the FA Cup or old First Division or Premier League - Birmingham City are not one of them. Considering their location and support over the years, they must be the biggest underachievers ever.
 
Each of the three relegated teams will be confident of staying up and that the other two they went up with will be guarantees for two of the three spots.

So who is the team that will fill the third spot if not them ?

Palace could be vulnerable with losing Glasner and probably Matete and Wharton, but they've got plenty time to remedy that.
Notts Forest wil defo lose Anderson but will have plenty dough to reinvest AND, won't be derailed by Europe.
Fulham without Marco ?
Leeds ?

Would be a brave man to bet on any of the relegated teams finishing above any of those mentioned above.
