Coventry, Ipswich and Hull

What was the score when the final whistle blew at the end of the second leg?

I'll wait.....
You don’t need to wait, Dan Ballards extra time goal settled the tie in your favour and I didn’t have an issue with that, you won fair and square and look how well you’ve done back in the Premier League.
My point was that @Lord Potts said we hadn’t won either leg which was factually incorrect.

Not necessarily
I suppose if Hull also spend £40m then they might finish second bottom.

Strictly speaking extra time counts as part of the second leg.

Not that it's relevant anymore.

In fairness £40M got us

Roefs
Alderete
Mukiele
Reinildo (free)
Geertruida (loan)
and maybe part (his sense of humour) of Sadiki (after loan and signing on fees of the 2 above)

Coventry simply need to replicate that and ensure that the rest of their squad makes the step up.

They need to spunk half of that just to stand still on the Rushworth and the Brentford midfielder

No need my friend, is that really the best you can come back with?
i can still picture your away end in floods of tears after that game, up there with the Saudi reaction this season.

Looking forward to your relegation tears next season, hopefully it’ll be us relegating you. Another 25 years in the abyss where your shit heap belongs.

Remarkable how much you hate us! Understandable considering you probably weren't alive in 1985 when Sunderland last did the double over Coventry 😯

I would be surprised if we even spend £40m.

Are you concerned about that or are you happy to accept the likely consequences if it allows you to make a stronger go of it in a few years?

Chances are, based on their current squads and historic facts, that Coventry, Ipswich and Hull will all go down.

What we can't start is questioning their optimism, questioning their hopes and dreams that they might stay up, we had those same hopes and dreams, and many would have questioned us last year, or laughed at us, and we all know how that turned out.

Good luck to all 3 of them. I do think they'll get relegated, but then many people thought the same about us.

So you're trying to claim that the match ends after 2 halves and then extra time is separate?
