Is that why English teams have a chance or the clean sweep of European trophies this season?Do you think? I'd argue the standard in the prem this year has been the worst it has been for a while. Even the team that has won the league has done so by relying on set pieces.
I think there has definately been a drop in quality. For instance a lot of that west ham team would not look out of place in the championship and they are still in with a shout of staying up.
Hull are definitely the most interesting. This squad would definitely break Derby’s record which is why it will look fundamentally different come August. The way the club is governed is much similar to us too, listening to the manager at Wembley. They’ll definitely attempt to ‘do a Sunderland’, but their base is weaker than the one we had.The Coventry owner has already said they won't 'do a Sunderland'. The reality is we got up having spent next to nowt over the previous 6 years and then we sold Bellingham for £35m the day after coming on top of the £11m for Watson. That gave us the sort of headroom Ipswich and Coventry simply do not have. Hull are the interesting one as they had transfer embargo's and might have some leeway to spend big.
As it stands they would all go down, but as it stood this time last year, so would us and Leeds. Its about recruitment and we should know that better than anyone. Gone are the days of a team coming up like like Forest and Leeds, making a couple of signings and then winning the top flight the first season.
As long as we stay up, I would be more than happy for all three promoted teams to stay up as well as that would flush out the PL and make it more competetive. Too many teams have got too comfortable. Be nice to see a Spurs, Fulham or the Saudis go down or all three!! I could put Everton in there as well but I have a lot of time for Everton.
His next phone call should be to DembeleWe’ve got a good foundation, a good window hopefully see us establish mid table. The three promoted teams will be looking at us and Leeds, so we’ll have a target on us. Hope KLD can get his charm on again
One from each club. No use at allUnfortunately Coventry for me with lampard in charge he’ll have the pick of the best crop of youngsters from West Ham & Chelsea for loans
It’s amazing people aren’t seeing this. Our club has literally just released a great video about this.Yeah I said as much in my OP. Everyone was certain we were back down, so I won't be getting cocky.
We also got an added boost in selling Watson and Bellingham, players we got good money for and frankly haven't missed. Not sure any of the promoted sides would even consider selling or if they have talent that will take in that much anyhow

Everyone keeps saying Hull will break Derby's record. If football was so predictable we would all be millionaires.Hull will break the lowest points record, Coventry and Ipswich won’t get near 30 Points.
Normal service resumed for the promoted teams.
How much do you reckon those two would bring in? And, realistically, how much do you think you would need to spend to upgrade them? That's the problem CCFC are going to face (hugely) in the next few weeks. Every signing has to be an improvement on what you've currently got. And the 'Frank Lampard factor' will only take you so far. Throw in it's a WC year and quality, VFM signings are going to be like hen's teeth this summer. We will definitely sell a couple for pretty high fees. Maybe not Bellingham fees, but the likes of Asante and Simms won't be cheap for a parachute side to buy from us.

if we'd turned up in the Prem with our Championship squads, that's what would have happenedThat was said about us three last season.
Ipswich will have learnt their lesson. And Hull have a top manager. Both to stay up
