Coventry, Ipswich and Hull

We also got an added boost in selling Watson and Bellingham, players we got good money for and frankly haven't missed. Not sure any of the promoted sides would even consider selling or if they have talent that will take in that much anyhow

As long as we stay up, I would be more than happy for all three promoted teams to stay up as well as that would flush out the PL and make it more competetive. Too many teams have got too comfortable. Be nice to see a Spurs, Fulham or the Saudis go down or all three!! I could put Everton in there as well but I have a lot of time for Everton.

Hull are definitely the most interesting. This squad would definitely break Derby’s record which is why it will look fundamentally different come August. The way the club is governed is much similar to us too, listening to the manager at Wembley. They’ll definitely attempt to ‘do a Sunderland’, but their base is weaker than the one we had.
 
Hull will break the lowest points record, Coventry and Ipswich won’t get near 30 Points.

The survival of the promoted Clubs also depends upon whether the wheels fall off one or more of the established Premier League teams.

Are Spurs for example completely out of the woods ? It's their second 17th place finish on the trot. We have had managers who have saved us at the last minute who have immediately run in to trouble when the new season started. Or will things at say Palace or Brentford suddenly implode ?

I wasn't surprised when it happened to West Ham not because I thought it was likely to happen to them but there will always be Clubs that develop internal problems that causes them to self destruct.

We will definitely sell a couple for pretty high fees. Maybe not Bellingham fees, but the likes of Asante and Simms won't be cheap for a parachute side to buy from us.

Arsenal are ridiculously good, they're Champions and the in the Champions League final for a very good reason. The bigger issue for those coming up isn't Arsenal though, it's the likes of Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Brighton, Forest and Everton. Their worst players would be comfortably the best players in the Championship and by quite a distance. Burnley got more points than Coventry the year before and their best players (Trafford apart) have shown they aren't close to being good enough.

Everyone keeps saying Hull will break Derby's record. If football was so predictable we would all be millionaires.

Oh and while I agree I can see all 3 going down, it would not be a shock to see Leeds down there or Fulham (particularly with Wilson leaving and if Silva gets offered a tempting move elsewhere). I can also see expectations weighing on Brentford this upcoming season too, they won't get a free ride like they did this season.
 
I think Coventry will be the weakest of the 3 promoted sides. Ipswich have been there so are more equipped and will buy smart.y I believe. Hull I think will throw money at it and as Coventry have already said they won’t, so for me I think Hull stay up as mad as that sounds but Coventry bottom and Ipswich doing a West Ham. Quick edit I think Fulham will be strugglers next season and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them go down.
 
It will come down to how much spending power they have and how far they are prepared to go with spending. Coventry owner has pretty much said they won't be throwing money at replacing the lads that got them there. If that's their approach they'll be straight back down

Ipswich have some good championship players and some may fare better this time having already done a year in the premier league. But my gut says they'll still struggle to stay up (remind me a bit of burnley's team)

Hull will be coming up with wriggle room to spend a lot, but whether they will or not who knows. I think out of the 3 they could surprise a few if they give it a go

How much do you reckon those two would bring in? And, realistically, how much do you think you would need to spend to upgrade them? That's the problem CCFC are going to face (hugely) in the next few weeks. Every signing has to be an improvement on what you've currently got. And the 'Frank Lampard factor' will only take you so far. Throw in it's a WC year and quality, VFM signings are going to be like hen's teeth this summer.
 
I'm not going to be conceited and say they'll go straight back down, because:

A. I knar nowt about their finances or club structure
B. We have proved it can be done. It may also be conceited to say, that we have an elite level recruitment team and manager and those teams most likely do not.

I think if you will perform credibly anyway but to stay up you need massive investment and rely on no more than 4 or 5 of the players who got you there as regular starters. Some others will be good enough as squad players. If you rely on the vast majority of your current team you will go down comfortably but have some decent performances on the way. However I do expect you will invest and give it a real go.
 
They will have a go.

But for me you have to look at the current 7 above the bottom 3 this season and figure out who of those can be worse than the promoted teams.

I just can’t picture any of them having worse seasons.

I think the new season will be the toughest season for promoted teams for a while.
