Oh I realise what you mean , suppose they meant the furthest point north in the County! ( I think )
of which it still is'nt - Lintzford would be (probably), nor is the most westerly which would be Blanchland or Baybridge)
note, I'm using places with people/houses, before some SMB smartarse gives me the map co-ordinates for halfway between Garrigill and Harwood
quick edit before i get another smartarse saying i've just listed the most westerly part of the county where it borders Cumbria
