Big was probably an exaggeration
Shame he couldn’t do it at test level I guess.

An impressive knock but then the pace and pitch he's been able to play it wouldn't be possible in the test arena.Big runs for Foakes again![]()

He'd have been a class keeper for us in the era of Jones/Read/Foster/Ambrose. Just unfortunate in the era he plays he's obsolete for England.
Still think him batting up the order in India wouldn't have been a bad idea. Pointless him at 7 tbh.
that first season he had a really good year, him and Hannon-Dalby took over 100 wickets between them, but think he missed nearly all of last season and looks set to miss this first round before the blast starts, sure this is the last year of the deal he signed at warwickshire tooAye he’s done nothing since leaving
Still ridiculous that he felt the need to leave mind

I know a couple of lads at sacriston who know him well, plenty rumours as to what happened, mostly seem to be it was personal matters as to why he left and little bit of a fall out with Franklin, wanted to play more whiteball apparently
i was told when Campbell came in he asked who swung the ball white the most, The answer was Rushy but he left just a few months earlier
gone now, youd hope common sense prevails and just shake hands nowAs if Warwickshire have been unable to take the final wicket all day.![]()
He's done well this year.3 50s already this season including a 92*

Yorks need 1 wicket in 6 overs....leading by 265...declared too late....probably ffs!
On cricinfo mate..yea yer right...its a MINIMUM of 6Why only 6 overs left?
Yeah I tend to think teams do declare too late in most casesYorks need 1 wicket in 6 overs....leading by 265...declared too late....probably ffs!

There was no need to set Essex over 500, anything in the 350-375 range would have been enough to give themselves another session to bowl them out and likely Essex wouldn't have been in blocking mode from ball one.Yorks need 1 wicket in 6 overs....leading by 265...declared too late....probably ffs!
Absolutely, the points system should be heavily weighted to encourage teams to go for a win.If Yorkshire vs Essex is a draw today with Essex still needing 200+ to win and only 1 wicket left then Yorkshire really only have themselves to blame.
Still think there should be more incentives for a win in the points system.
Bairstow being a prime example in this game...Really didn;t need to bat for 70 odd.....did he?Absolutely, the points system should be heavily weighted to encourage teams to go for a win.
Teams are far too risk averse and either bat on too long because of that or wait until individual players reach a landmark when they should be declaring earlier imo
It worked well back in 2023 when it was only 5 points for the draw as you saw a lot more teams go for a win, all the talk was they wanted to mirror the Stokes positive cricket mindset. But for some bizarre reason the ECB only kept that for a year and decided to put it back up to 8 points.Absolutely, the points system should be heavily weighted to encourage teams to go for a win.

Absolutely not of course he didn’t they had more than enough runs and definitely should have declared earlier,Bairstow being a prime example in this game...Really didn;t need to bat for 70 odd.....did he?
After his shithouse tactics at Durham I for one is delighted that he fucked it upThere was no need to set Essex over 500, anything in the 350-375 range would have been enough to give themselves another session to bowl them out and likely Essex wouldn't have been in blocking mode from ball one.
