County Cricket 2024

Turner played for us and got injured in the third game that put him out until the end of the campaign. Then in the current BBL he got injured in the 3rd game and hasn't been seen since, so there's a bit of a pattern developing there that I'd be keen to avoid if I was North/Campbell

Sadly New Rd Wircester flooded out again and under 3 ft of water. CEO saying its likely it will flood again before the start of the season and the griund could well not be fit for cricket for the early rounds of championship.
Durham visit there for the third round of matches si could get moved.

This seems to have happened since I was a young un and WG Grace was clean shaven

It’s a historic and beautiful ground but it’s maybe time to move away from a flood plain area

Ah balls. I went there in May 2022 (the game Stokes nearly hit 6 sixes in an over) and absolutely loved it. In fact it’s probably my favourite ground so I was looking forward to visiting again.

It's a beautiful, beautiful ground. Did you try the tea hut with the homemade cakes?

Indeed..Drove past today. No chance they be playing there until mid summer. Usually floods before December they can't play at home.

New ground being discussed already. Shame as will move away from Worcester maybe to Evesham way. Spent holidays as a kid there grew up with Botham and Hick in their heydays watching cricket there.

Had thought about this, but I think it’s the Bank Holiday weekend so will be pricey. Got Blackpool sorted, and am tempted by The Oval in September - when we will depose Surrey as champions and secure the title 😂

Blackpool is cheap mind, we've got two hotels booked on full cancellation, can't decide yet which one to stay in but locked in at good prices. That will be a cracking weekend away that one.

Sean Abbott resigned for Surrey for May and June. Covers 4/5 championship matches and t20 group stages.
He was the type of player 20 years ago that where fantastic overseas pros and would be here for the season.

Don’t think I’ll be able to do Somerset with Durham, however I still want to tick off Taunton. Thinking of Somerset vs Warwickshire at the beginning of July. Looking at about 5/600 quid all in
