Relieved we're safe but just papering over the cracks. The lads did pull out some decent performances from somewhere in the last few weeks of the season though which we all know they're capable of. Credit to them for that.

That's it for another year then. Genuinely hate this time of year. Experts will tell you Seasonal Affective Disorder is a real condition brought about by lack of sunlight. To the cricket fan it's far more than that.

28 weeks or thereabouts (yes I have just checked my calendar) Say it quickly and it doesn't sound that long. Could be a long cold one if the tabloids are to be believed but we'll get there. I would say winter well but I'll be back on here moaning about England's inability to play spin soon enough
