Not long now y'knar lads :-)

Any media outlets providing a preview of it? I know the Beeb usually do a good job on the wireless - mainly with Kevin Howells.

5/1
Nottinghamshire
11/2
Durham
6/1
Yorkshire
13/2
Lancashire
8/1
Middlesex
8/1
Sussex
9/1
Somerset

I'd love us to win it again obviously but I don't think we will. That said, I said that last year too![DOUBLEPOST=1394526551][/DOUBLEPOST]Colly -

Looks very tight again, i reckon you could pick three out of the nine and still not be confident of backing the winner.

Cricinfo have just updated the counties squads for 2014, Durham look a bit lightweight on paper especially if Stokes,Onions and Borthwick are involved with England.

Spoke to someone involved in local club cricket who reckons Paul Coughlin is one to watch out for this season, especially if Durham loose Stokes for most of the season.

They had high hopes for Coughlin last season but it was ruined for him by injury. Much prefer to see him come through than an OS.

we are crying out for a spinner of some sort tbf, borthwick may be away a bit for odis and even so has not got many overs recently...

the squad is woefully light, collingwood's head will be partly on coaching, will need the likes of jennings, wood, arshad to really kick on if we are to be competitive, the talent is there but we lack experience and depth. can't wait :D

Injuries, or lack of them could decide our season this year. The squad isn't just looking light, it "IS" light, injury to one or two key players could leave us struggling to field 11 senior players.

Last season proved we have young lads who can step up and play a big part, but, we can't rely on that happening every season.

It will be interesting to see what the side is to play the MCC, and who replaces Stokes and Colly at no 5 and 6 in the order. Iam not sure if they will blood a couple of youngster or place safe and bring back Muchall and Breese. It maybe an indication of which way they will go this season.

Us and Northants going down.

If we lose 2 of the England 3 for a substantial period of time we are buggered and we can't rely on young uns coming through all the time.

Squad for MCC game now on website. Looks like recall for Muchall and Breese. Does show how thin the batting is and yet we're going for an OS bowling all-rounder.

No chance we are going down with rushworth and onions. Borthwick will be about to

Mark Stoneman,
Keaton Jennings,
Scott Borthwick,
Michael Richardson,
Gordon Muchall,
Phil Mustard,
Stuart Poynter,
Gareth Breese,
Mark Wood,
Ryan Pringle,
Usman Arshad,
Jamie Harrison,
Chris Rushworth,
Graham Onions,
Ryan Buckley,
Paul Coughlin.

That's the squad for the trip

Very light on batting that :(

I'd go -

Stoneman
Jennings
Borthwick
Richardson
Breese
Mustard
Poynter
Wood
Harrison
Onions
Rushworth

That batting line up is amongst the worst in the league. Need another two in otherwise it's going to be difficult to put any runs on the board.

The way stokes is playing he might not get a central contract which would effectively screw us.
