What crap, from what I've seen of Altidore he's your basic CF "Lump" and I've seen plenty of them at Sunderland. Very lmited ability and can be made to look Sunday pub football level by teams many divisions below the premiership. His "strengths" seem so miniscule I've yet to see what they are.

Whickham, on the other hand, is younger (despite the amount of time he's been around), posesses more football ability and, in the last four games, has produced more than Altidore in the 25 appearances he's made.

I'd keep Whickham and try and cut our losses by offloading Altidore
 
To be fair to the OP at the time the kid had showed nothing to dispute.

Had a loan spell at sheff wed, did well, came back and got dropped at Spurs but since than has justified his place in the team and scored some goals.

Thats easy to say in hindsight mind. Were you saying the same three weeks ago?
 
Won't have been the only one thinking it, I dare bet a fair percentage of those laughing now will have had similar thoughts.
 
Some absolute clamps post on here like, bet some posters are absolutely gutted that he's on some form, can't be negative about him ATM

Have to apologise as I wrote him off, he was terrible and it seems he has found his feet now after being out on loan. Well done that Jenga block
