must be cos we are owned by a peniless chancer who is asset stripping the academy..oh...

Curry was signed by said penniless chancers in an attempt to the steam the tide of defeats the U23s had endured due to the tossers selling all the best prospects.

They deserve all the shit that comes their way and here's hoping we have a better future with a professional set up as opposed to Donald, Methven, Hill & Paul Reid and the rest of cheapskates they employed to run things and make key decisions at the club.

im not trying to be snide but..isnt it unusual phil neville got involved in a low profile signing for the clubs second team?
I saw him playing for Gateshead and he was nowhere near good enough for them this after being discarded by Boro. Hes got a bit of pace but will never in a million years make it at a level above where we are now. Like Armstrong currently at Hartlepool is way better than Curry and a similar age.

You can see why young players would choose to head abroad and try something different if they don't fancy their chances at breaking into the top flight. 15 years going round the doors in Leagues One and Two or head overseas and try living the lifestyle that brings?

Football 365 and PlanetFootball used to have a series of interviews with players who dropped out of the top academies and couldn't get to grips with the style of play in the lower leagues, because they'd spent half their life being taught to play the way Man Utd or Arsenal play. Lads who've ended up in Bulgaria, Mexico, Russia, all kinds, because they've found sides that play to their strengths.

Having failed to drag the Maddison thread around to a discussion about the previous owners it's good to see an attempt to do the same with this one within the very first reply.

You aren’t seriously comparing the departure of a 21 year old no where near our first team to the asset stripping under Donald??
of course im not..im being facestious...
it deosnt seem like safc were bithered at himleaving, and no mention of him being offered a contract by us,...
