Anybody serious would have just blasted us out of this league with pure spending power by now. Similar to how Salford bought their way up the pyramid and Macclesfield are doing now. Instead most of our transfers seem to be frees and loans. The spin is that we're being clever, using "the data" to find hidden gems etc but I'm not so sure. I don't buy the "financial fair play" excuse either - anybody with serious intent to invest would find a way around that or just simply tell the EFL to fuck off and take the fines.
ah the derby county approach to efl regulations..that went wel...

And this is what I’ve heard (good source)

KLD wants more of the club but will not invest to “make the others rich”.

Also heard that LJ was promised the new pitch, as he liked to play fast passing football and the promise was not kept. Hence the state of the pitch and part of the reason he couldn’t get the team to play.
I’ve heard that Johnson and speakman hadn’t been getting a long for a while

Hoping Kyrils put this out there to apply the pressure on the rest to sell him remaining shares. Cant see any other reason as to why he’d willingly put himself under scrutiny like this for zero reward, he’s been happy enough not telling us in the past, why now..

I am guessing/hoping we will find out why tomorrow. This is an utter debacle but its lucky there is a fans meeting tomorrow to try and start a repair job. An end to Stewart Donald's involvement would be a start, but only a start.

No way he would be putting money in if he didn't have control. On the other thread there have been many posts outlining scenarios where this could be the case. Let's wait and see before we pronounce guilt by association.
Hes bought the shares but what else?

Pitch an absolute disgrace
Speakman and his new approach was appointed before he arrived
Actually spent less money on transfers
Sol the same old mess

I do think a strategy for data science and analysis, or let's say wise efficient management of recruitment and resources is spot on and should come first before money is spent. Spending wisely and not being exploited basically. But it's also clear an extra bit of quality up front, midfield, right back and central defence would have us higher. There has been some over caution i think which hasn't ultimately been sensible or wise. That bit smells of Madrox but may well not be.
