Colback or Henderson

Where is Colback's best position?

First time I seen him play at left back was down Blackpool last season and he was very good and has probably played a handful more times in that position and has looked very good every time.

On the other hand over the last few month he has looked good in centre midfield now he has got more confidence in his ability.
Central midfield, without doubt.

Although it's good to know he can comfortably slot in at left back as well if needs be.

Tin hat on here but I reckon Colback will be a better player than Henderson. He offers so much more to the team than Henderson did.

His versatility is very useful as well, I thought he was shaky at wing back in the home tie against City but he was immense today.

Henderson always had the potential to give us something different going forward but his work rate and defending were embarrassing at times.

Already is by far a better footballer and getting better, Henderson is the most overrated player ever to come through the ranks at SAFC in my lifetime

I've always been a big Colback fan, along many with others on here who have watched come through the reserves, but he's not a left back. He was just ok in the Blackpool game but he got skinned by their winger (Phillips?) a fair few times with Richardson needing to help him out on more than one occasion.

Cattermole (minus red mist) just in front of the back 4 and Colback as the more advanced centre mid is the best combination.

IMHO as ever.

Hindsight is always a leg breaker when it comes to this type of retrospective.

Like all of us we can’t predict how are lives will turn out.

But what it does show is that a person’s character is almost always more important than talent (not saying that Colback was more or less talented) to make it to the top
