Club Statement

The club have made themselves look like a right bunch of fannies. These groups do not represent the majority of fans at all, just as this board doesn’t.

Equally he is using this as an excuse for selling up, even though he has already tried to sell us already.

Imagine if every Chairman spat their dummy out and said they were selling the club every time a minority supported group said they were doing a shit job

I think he needs it pointing out to him that the lack of trust isn't down to results. It is that he changes his story 3 times within the space of an interview. Never seemed to have his story straight.

I think the supporters groups being against him will have been a shock, as he has spent time and effort trying to get them on side.

When the statement from the fans group was released he must have been so relieved “this is my chance to go”.
Otherwise why would a strong willed businessman, run away at the first sign of descent.

In future I’d prefer the fans group didn’t speak for everyone though, it’s still unknown how many people backed this statement, is this the future way to handle bad times ?

".....the current owners would have preferred more time to complete the job and fully implement the vision originally laid out. "

A statement that's somewhat at odds with the current owners two attempts to sell the club between June and October last year and the decision by Donald's co-owner prior to the fanzine's criticism that he had enough and was going to devote his time to other things.

The sale of the Club has been on the agenda for months and it wasn't just put there by the fanzines.

He’s just bombed out our infrastructure and gambled on first season promotion. Hardly a good job.
We were heading for financial ruin and we are not now. However, he has made some mistakes. The point is, he could sell to somebody much worse, as we have seen so many times with other clubs. People have this romantic idea that FPP will ride over the hill with lots of money to spend. Whilst that would be great, it's unlikely to happen.
Let's see, hopefully it comes good.

so who told the fanzines we were being taken over by billionaires?

The vision which has included us see all of our Youth Teams deteriorate to the point they can't win a game, any sell-able asset moved on and the cheapest manager in the running for the job appointed.

THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A VISION OTHER THAN BUY AND SELL FOR A PROFIT ASAP.

We shouldn’t live in fear based upon a possibility where it could be worse in the future - he’s got no money and can’t take us forward, something needs to change regardless of what has happened.
