People sometimes forget that Middlesex are just the tenants at Lords.
Possibly, but let's face it when push comes to shove, no one is going to see Middlesex struggle and historically they are one of the big 6.

There is and historically has been far too many draws in our domestic long form game
Yeah fewer points for a draw should definitely be changed imo.Getting rid of the Kookaburra ball would help.
Other than that I'm pretty happy with how things are. It might be worth considering fewer points for a draw as another change though.

There appears to be only one person in the country in favour of the use of the Kookaburra and unfortunately he appears to be able to be to dictate and refuses to admit to the error.Yeah fewer points for a draw should definitely be changed imo.
And the kookaburra should never have started.
Surely people don’t just want games where teams just bat out games for a draw on good wickets simply because not enough time in the game to achieve a result?
I'm a case in point. I've been to 9 matched this season and each of them just for 1 day. There appears to be only one person in the country in favour of the use of the Kookaburra and unfortunately he appears to be able to be to dictate and refuses to admit to the error.
Counties did revert to 5 for a draw but it didn't last long but didn't produce more wins. A new ball after, say 60 overs, would tilt the balance more to the bowler and probably lessen draws. Fact is most 4 day followers just watch a few or part days and don't regard a positive result as paramount, although preferable.
Aren't they moving for county games. I know the women from 2026 are playing at their new ground they have built.Possibly, but let's face it when push comes to shove, no one is going to see Middlesex struggle and historically they are one of the big 6.
Rumours are that one county are considering abstaining which means the proposal will fail. One more county going off what the Lancashire tweet says, who do we think most likely will be the saviour?

A five week window in the height of summer where no other cricket will be played. For eternity. The Indian's see nothing in it other than the opportunity to invest in a UK franchise and turn it into T20. If they saw anything in the 16.4, they would trial it in their own country.
And fifthly, scrap the 16.4 and play it in the summer.Well absolutely could not agree more.
Ridiculous introduction and terrible for the game.
That’s why it’s everybody’s responsibility to promote and make our domestic 4 day game more entertaining.
First and foremost get rid of the kookaburra ball.
Secondly points systems should be more heavily weighted to encourage teams to go for more wins.
Thirdly captains and teams should take more responsibility and take more risks to achieve wins.
And fourthly I think fans in general just my opinion accept teams been negative too much.
In short lot of things can be done to promote and make the 4 day game more attractive if all have the will to do it.
