If it is to happen I think they should seriously consider making the south stand different i.e. not tiered just one bank from bottom to top

I took a walk around recently while my car was being repaired.. I walked up Westgate Road and around the hospital.. what an absolute shithole.. rancid. Back lanes full of turned over bins, shit everywhere literally, smashed up cemetery, shops boarded up or selling tat, tramps, spice rats, ket heads and radgies everywhere!. it’s desperate and I’d avoid it like the plague at night.
 
Said it before but if we had much cheaper tickets (and I know they are decent value anyway) but say £15 a ticket would that entice loads more supporters along? Is there any scope in filling out a much increased capacity ground and all the additional revenue in food sales etc. with lower priced tickets to still have an improved overall financial improvement for the club? Obviously the team need to be performing and playing decent football (and achieving things) to entice those borderline supporters back also.

Lower tickets doesn't mean more money

From a financial point of view it's better to have 20 people paying £40 than 40 people paying £20 because of extra stewards etc.

Not to mention it's easy to reduce prices, it's not so easy to increase them again if no-one turns up.

Yes, appreciate there is a balance to be had so the income is matched or more (given the outgoing for stewards etc.). As I mentioned there would be additional income from food/drink though. Was just a thought - the atmosphere may be no better as you'd just have more people moaning about a stray pass! :)

I once heard Newcastle quite aptly described as 5 nice streets surrounded by shit holes.

Aye, be better to invest in better players and grow the numbers because people want to be there rather than reducing prices but that's just my opinion of course. If something goes wrong the fair-weather fans will be gone quicker than a flash unless there's a Wembley final where they all seem to crawl out the woodwork.

When was the last time we sold out for even 3 league games in a row?

We were at the top table for an uninterrupted decade. Did it ever happen in that time? I don't actually know if it did, hence the question.

If not that time, then when?

Think it must have happened before extended maybe? 1999 2000 season it was fairly regular sold out I think. Every other game.
