Club are looking to extend the stadium

There is talk of quinns bar getting modernised. I know there are some in bcb who went there as not happy at standard of quinns and cost so maybe they might go back if it is improved. Bcb could be a place to transition people as they develop commercial side bit by bit.

I saw something in meeting notes that a premier a club could mayve request south stand and south west corner so maybe they thinking put a second level on south stand. Keep family enclosure where it is and give away fans a 2 level south stand. Then current south stand lot can go in gaps around lower bowel or north stand upper. Could do deal with local butchers and brewers to provide fresh local produce for bars and kiosks.

Could then update bcb, put a 2nd level on East stand. Could have boxes used by charities on non match days, could develop a multi storey car park on park by west stand and bring in money during week. Could get lots of concerts or festivals at ground outside of season. Be a northern hq for women's game. Could develop transport options for branches outside of wearside, develop young generation. Keep tickets manageable, keep cost sane but mire regular dd, develop a wearside bank, fans move banks, bank develops wearside, improves economy, helps more to go.

Maybe these are all things that club does to get Donald to pay 10% of or give up the rest of his shares and maybe Mr Uruguay helps out then dreyfus once it all completed buys him out and club better so Mr Uruguay makes money on his current 33% which has allowed kld to speed up development before kld inherits that big trust.

Can’t believe people are saying stuff like “biggest in the NE, bigger than the mags” means fuck all when it’s half empty. Looks bad enough at the minute despite us having massive grounds.

Really? I dont think they are saying we will be in it but just hosting it....have a look through stadiums who have hosted european finals, hampden park ffs, Seville had the europa final a few years back..smaller capacity than the SOL

That’s the europa league final, not the champions league final. Hampden Park was 21 years ago and they try and spread it about a bit. So it’s big enough so they get it. Think about all the places in England that could get it when England get it.

Hotel rooms, hotel rooms, hotel rooms. A 150,000 seater SOL wouldn’t get a CL final as there’s nowhere for uefas big nobs, sponsors and their customers to sleep.

Next English ground to get the CL final will probably be at Spurs. Probably streets ahead of any new grounds in Europe at the moment.
Real Madrid will most likely get it soon also after the recent redevelopment
