Club are looking to extend the stadium

Magnus is simply a speculator who gets most things wrong.

The club have to renew planning permission every ten years to extend the South stand or else it lapses. This they have done and they confirmed it in a supporters collective meeting.

I would think that most fans would welcome this but the club haven’t even yet set a date for the fabled walk around the stadium with fan groups to check faults and get it in better nick, so I think this may be jumping the gun.
They need to put any money they’ve got which isn’t much to getting quality players in to replace some of the crap we have

So we are finally in a position to open a bit thats been closed for a few years and the next step is to whack a new bit on? How will the two lasses in the ticket office possibly cope with the additional demand?

It's OK it won't be open for some time. They're getting the new strikers to build it!

Do it I say, 7,000 more seats, lower the ticket prices so more fans will attend and the filth up the road can cry about not having the bigger stadium capacity anymore, only comeback they will have is we have an airport even though it is based next to Ponteland... say about 6 miles from scum central and Sunderland Council own as much as the mag council of it, along with other councils who have a share too. The meltdoon in the cartoon will be even funnier than our U18s beating them 2-7:lol:
This a mag?

Love this skylon. Absolutely brilliant lad. Imagine if it was us in the champions league final at your place (nou camp of the north).

He’s barmy pal. He’s getting a tad excited and tying himself in knots about it.
Seething^^^^^

Sent this mag into meltdown, and it's not even happening!

The champs league final has been held in Russia and Porto, not exactly east to get to
I mean when they choose where to host it when the final is in England.

Of course, if our extended stadium was in Russia or somewhere in Eastern Europe, then we’d have a better chance of hosting the final.

Why were England games played at the sol?

Eh? What’s that got to do with hosting the champions league final?

To answer your question, England games can often be held in different stadiums in England. The FA did it to improve the atmosphere. Wolves, Leicester & Boro have held some too.

If you’ve just been on a wind up all this time then fair play.

Totally agree. The airport should be renamed to Just outside Ponteland but still in Newcastle International Airport. Has a canny ring to it.

This thread about a stadium extension that isn't true, has got the mags seething. It's class

Don’t know why?! The local jorno’s and thick pundits love adding at least 5k on their gate every week and disregarding any away support in attendance.

If there’s any once of truth in this KLD should do it just to piss off the murdering scum up the road.

You are going on like sunderland is in the middle of nowhere. You do know away fans travelled to these England games, don't you? Didn't stop them coming to the sol. Sunderland is changing, it's class now,and is gonna be even better in a few years. Its a city of the future with a forward looking council. They definitely should be looking to get the champs league when our capacity is over 60,000. Shoot for the stars

Some will definitely have a dig at you for this marra. As folk, even our own love putting the club and city down.

I’d love KLD & Co to have a proper go at making our club reach its potential. Historically, SAFC is still the most successful club in the NE.

The club and city have been put down for too long, all we need is the right ownership. Murray tried, but ultimately failed. Would love to see the SoL built up to what he intended one day.
