f***ing hell mateWalking home one night pissed I kicked a football over a metal spiked fence. Went to retrieve it and slipped putting the spike through my throat and another through my chin. Managed to get off and to a phone box across the road. Phoned an ambulance and my dad. Told my dad I think I’m done in. Spent the night in surgery and had a blood transfusion. Remember seeing blood just pumping out of me and thinking there’s no way this can last. Weird experience.

I feel the same at 43, as I'm not fit or healthy sadly. My hope is that I live to see my bairn grow up, anything more is a bonus xxProbably now. Relatively fit and healthy at 65 but appreciate that death is nearer now than it ever was

Have you got a monitor on your arm mate, they’re class.Would be interested to hear everyone’s?
Mine was when I had a seizure in my sleep last year due to low blood sugar.
I used to go to school with the lad. I'm 5ft 5 and he's about 6ft 4, he was high on drugs and claimed he couldn't remember any of it. Basically he knew he could chin me so he just did for the hell of it. I've still got 5 metal plates in my jaw and you can physically feel 2 of them.
Crushed by a fork lift truck, driver had jumped off it continued on its way at a slow speed. I had my back to it, and felt the load it was carrying push into my back. Things were getting serious I yelled just before things were going black, the driver stopped the truck at the last moment. Suffered spinal injuries and crushed knees, life changing.

Jesus marra...
I’ve had the coils put in as well as when I had the haemorrhage they found other aneurysms.Headache from hell dec 2017. Dr’s thought it was migraine. Ended up in A&E having a CT scan and then getting transferred to the John Radcliffe Oxford by ambulance on Xmas eve where I was diagnosed with a massive brain aneurysm which thankfully hadn’t ruptured. Spent Xmas and new year in there waiting for an operation which they didn’t do till the new year. Had 21 coils put in which they did while I was awake and I hope I never have to go through owt like that again.
Oh yeah, for the first couple of days in hospital I saw ghosts everywhere. Very weird....
Scary that like.I was fished from the bottom of a swimming pool unconscious. Resuscitated at the side of the pool
Would have been about 5.
My brother in law got struck by lightning while he was playing golf at Alnmouth. He was just a kid at the time, and still suffers with his nerves 50 odd years later.Hit by a golf ball when I was 14, I was stood to one side in the rough and the guy pulled the ball hard to the left. Hit me under the arm on the muscle at the back of the armpit, very lucky

No mate never seen him since. It was the policeman who knocked on my door and told me of his sentence.Did he ever give a meaningful apology (not just through his brief during the trial)?
Every time I closed my eyes I could see them. They were just people going about their business but they weren’t nurses or anything. They were just regular people.....children too. I’d be watching them and thinking “why don’t they get out of my room when I’m trying to sleep?” It was relentless and then after a couple of days I didn’t see them anymore. The strongest medication I was on was paracetamol. It wasn’t scary.Go on, very intriguing.
Can you feel them in your head still? I can.I’ve had the coils put in as well as when I had the haemorrhage they found other aneurysms.
