It had the potential to be quite funny and was an entertaining watch but is let down by Kaleb himself. That's not a dig at as I think the issue is he's too genuine and not cut out for scripted material. It actually made me realise how little of his side of Clarkson's farm is scripted as you can clearly tell in the stage show exactly which jokes were written by someone else and he's just repeating them!

Would people prefer to watch a farm hand sweeping a yard for half an hour?

Of course it’s manufactured, of course it’s scripted. Things have to happen to make it entertaining and the film crew are not there every day of the year. So necessarily events may be re-created to provide content that might entertain.

There will be masses of stuff we don’t get to see that was cut from the programme because it did not come out right.

I’m really looking forward to Friday to see more.

Its in a weird kind of way it falls between two proven genres.

On on hand its posing as reality TV, on the other hand, at times the scripting is so obvious its almost a sitcom.

We had a phase in the 90s/00s where reality TV was exactly that TV about reality. It was cameras following workers on cruise ships or in airports or following police. It was then edited to highlight the most dramatic bits to make it interesting. If it was scripted, it was done in such a way it didnt appear to be.

At the other end you had recognised actors playing characters in totally scripted sitcoms. Kaleb and Clarkson arent characters... but they could easily be at times.

It's entertaining enough. Certainly one of the better entertainment programmes out there!

Its light entertainment, its enjoyable but its struggling to keep up with the first two series, which were great because they felt believable. Even if they were just as scripted as the latest one

You see we are all very different. Some citizens of the United Kingdom would find it odd that adults would drive for six hours to watch some twenty year olds play an hour and a half of football……….

After standing in a square singing songs about said group of twenty year olds.

But most of us on here think that is quite normal.

I like the programme but have no desire to stand in a big queue of spotty Subaru drivers just to eat a burger.

Each to their own I say.

I should point out here that I happened to be down south and it was only 40 minutes away roughly on the way home.

And I don't drive a Subaru ;)

thought these two episodes were much better than the first 4. i can't see them being able to string the show out for much longer. there's only so much you can do with the Clarkson's on a farm and doesn't know what he's doing concept and it's becoming increasingly more scripted. not that it wasn't when it first started but it's blatantly obvious now
