He's incredibly romantic about football but he's a good journalist, I'm not really sure what's wrong with his tweet other than it's about Newcastle.
 
Always thought highly of George Caulkin and whilst at the Times he disguised his mag bias pretty well. I’ve had to unfollow him on twitter as of late though. His articles and general persona on Twitter is vomit inducing. Obviously doesn’t help that he’s all things Newcastle however I expected more from him and hoped he would be more vocal around our predicament rather than wanking over murdering bastards taking over the mags.

Same here. Had a lot of time for him before but dear me his articles are shite these days.

Yep 43,500 people have died of Covid-19 in Britain and 500,000 worldwide. Healthcare staff and other frontline staff have risked their lives. Many of us having seen our families in 3 months. But the Mags are the real victims. They can't go to see their team play at home.
 
I like Caulkin me. Granted some of his writing can be romanticised but he always comes across as a sound bloke and has always written well for Sunderland.

He’s also done fantastic work for The Sir Bobby Robson foundation and seems generally like a good egg.
