Really ? So in effect CS is a second choice.

Might have said withdrew his interest not stepped aside, can’t remember where I heard it, I think it was Goughy on Talk Sport.
 


I’m late to this thread, mainly because I find the appointment of Silverwood completely uninspiring. In the same way I found the appointment of Phil Parkinson uninspiring - which doesn’t mean either is the wrong choice of course, it also goes without saying, I hope both coaches are immensely succesful.

However, on the back of all the talk of the ECB and their horrific financial mismanagement in recent years - which has led to them having no pot to piss in, it leads me to one particular question:

Is the appointment of Chris Silverwood merely a case of being the cheap option?
