Chris Rigg

He's got the perfect scenario now to get 7 more PL games under his best under relative stress free circumstances which is crazy to say as a newly promoted team.

Obviously would love us to get into Europe somehow but a pipe dream rather than sweating to stay in the league like others down there

You need to watch a different game, sport or read a book.
Best not to comment on something you know absolutely nothing about.
Unless it's a wind up post as it's that stupid - in which case i admit to being whooshed.
Here we go he’s had two good games in two seasons so he’s generational talent again…. Did you not learn from getting carried away before
No one is getting carried away.

It’s more of a case of posters being called out and rightly going overboard with criticism when the lads 18 and is learning his trade.

He’s played a grand total of 6 games in terms of minutes in the PL and you’re saying he’s had 3 good games.
How is my criticism overboard it was fully justified and based on fact !

Your opinion isn't a fact - that is a fact.

2 or 3 good games you reckon - it's amazing how he keeps getting in the squad of a mid table Premier League side at 18 year old and has amassed probably 70 odd 1st team games at that age.

Also keeps getting selected for each of his England age groups as well - he's doing something right in the eyes of RLB and other pro coaches.

Thankfully they appear to know and understand considerably more than you about the game would be my opinion. So does our cat as well like.
Of course it is. You’ve not even given the lad a chance to play a few games.

We went through exactly the same with Henderson.

It’s an absolute joke the way people are going on.
Always been the same - the know nowts can never wait to dig out the local players. Defo happened to some degree with Henderson.

Yep

"When a player like Granit wants to play with you it's a good sign of maturity," said head coach Regis Le Bris.

"You need to earn the credit on the pitch. It's not about speaking, it's on the pitch.
"Riggy came from this period when he struggled and he wasn't so composed on the ball, so when you give the ball to a teammate and they turn the ball over quickly, sometimes you won't receive a pass for 30 minutes because you feel intuitively that you won't give the ball to this teammates.

"Now it's totally the opposite and he built this during the training sessions with his attitude and resilience and character.
"It just shows players need time and it's a really good example of our identity."
I know I'm replying to my own post here but I was wonder if Le Bris pointing out Xhaka wants to play with him and then talking about teammates not wanting to pass to him goes back to when Xhaka had a go at Rigg and it changing Rigg?

Isidor “If the quality of the session isn’t good, he’ll yell. I have an example: there’s little Chris Rigg in the squad, and he’s brought him back into shape. He was a little lazy in training, so he went to talk to him to ask him to change his attitude. That changed him.”

Sounds encouraging, proof is in pudding tho and for 2 matches he’s done a lot better , hopefully it continues

I would reiterate that he hasn’t had an assist or goal since 26/12/24 so statistically he hasn’t done anything in over a year tbf

Some familiar faces on the wrong side of history there. Some things never change and some folk never learn

Stuck our goals of last season youtube video on again last night, forgot how many he scored in the championship, only remembered a couple of them

Mind the standard of defending on display throughout, lifting

Forgot to mention he’s still just a kid……….and is playing out of position, as he is predominately a left sided player………in the top league……..with three top class performances.

What’s not to like?
