Chris Rigg

With the likes of Diarra and Mundle coming back his minutes could be even more reduced. It’s a tricky one for the club as he has so much potential but he’s barely kicked a ball recently. The lad needs to play football, post AFCON when the players are back I think a loan might be sensible.

Why?...manager will pick the squad based on fitness, well being, tactics and how well uve trained. That will be the why for folks.

I watched a bit of that game tonight and it was alarming how he didn't look out of place among all those young kids. Fit right in.

Then I checked myself...he IS still only a kid. We need to remember that when critiquing his first team performances.

He's a talent but has a lot of growing to do yet.
He's needing confidence and physicality. He's our brightest home grown prospect and looked the business when he burst on the scene. From what I've seen, he has the desire and determination to make it, just needs some pies down him

You don't half talk some shite mind......Are we still getting relegated?

I don’t think this is as bad a point as you make out. The club have progressed quickly and young Rigg hasn’t to the level required yet, but I think he has every chance to do so. A loan move is not the worst thing for the lad right now, however neither is staying put and learning from Xhaka.

I think the first thing is to not judge him by matches out on the right hand side. He’s a central player, but at the minute, doesn’t obviously fit in, apart from a few minutes here & there. It’s not ideal every match it tight so subs are made with the match in mind rather than the minutes of the players.

I think his issue is he lacks physicality but tries to make it part of his game and he just gets bounced. Tonight he was shocking and missed clear cut chances again and again

I think he needs to be loaned out before the window closes, his development seems to have stalled this season due to his lack of game time. Realistically now we have all our players back he’s not going to be playing many minutes at all.
