I doubt Newcastle could afford him unless they are selling some of the family jewels.

They had to sell Anderson last summer to make ends meet. Rigg could easily go there and find himself a make-weight in an accounting fiddle. I'd have thought that Newcastle have other positions as a priority as well.

He is playing ( very well ) and will be conscious of not going somewhere and sitting on the bench and not getting a game.Progressing tremendously here at moment .
Was Defo off up the road in the summer according to a few on here -but signed a 3 year deal -not always correct what “itks “suggest !

I imagine Rigg will have a release clause in his contract. For argument sake say he is on £10k per week - you'd assume release clause will be commensurate - it might be much lower than people think - £10m might not be that wide of the mark.
